Mr. Ronald Narayan
Group Chief Information Officer

Mr. Ronald Narayan is the Group Chief Information Officer of FijiCare Insurance Limited, a position he has held since 2020. He leads the Group’s Information Technology strategy and oversees the Claims function, playing a key role in leveraging technology to support efficient operations and deliver reliable, customer-focused insurance services. Having joined FijiCare in 2000, Mr. Narayan brings over 20 years of experience across finance and information technology. His progression within the organisation reflects his deep understanding of the business and strong commitment to innovation. Since his appointment as IT Manager in 2010, he has been instrumental in advancing FijiCare’s digital capabilities, modernising internal systems, and improving claims processing to enhance service delivery for customers. Mr. Narayan continues to lead major regional and international IT initiatives, supporting FijiCare’s ongoing digital transformation and strengthening its position as one of Fiji’s leading insurers. In addition to his role as Group Chief Information Officer, Mr. Narayan serves as Executive Director of WeCare Pte Limited, the Group’s investment property subsidiary, and is a Director of VanCare Insurance Limited. He holds a Diploma in Financial Planning (ANZIIF [Snr Associate] CIP) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of the South Pacific.

Ms. Krishika Narayan
Group Chief Operating Officer

Ms. Krishika Narayan is the Group Chief Operating Officer of FijiCare Insurance Limited, a role she has held since 2020. She provides strategic and operational leadership across the FijiCare Group, with direct oversight of core business functions including underwriting, administration, human resources, legal, risk management, and compliance. Ms. Narayan brings extensive experience in the financial services sector, with strong expertise in operations, governance, legal affairs, administration, and corporate communications. Prior to joining FijiCare, she spent over 11 years at the South Pacific Stock Exchange, including three years as Chief Executive Officer, where she played a key role in strengthening market operations, governance frameworks, and stakeholder engagement. In addition to her Group Chief Operating Officer responsibilities, Ms. Narayan holds several leadership roles across the FijiCare Group. She serves as the Executive Director of OmniCare Pte Limited, trading as MIOT Pacific Medical, and was appointed to the Board of VanCare Insurance Limited in 2021. She also contributes to a number of boards and committees, serving in roles such as Chairperson and Director. Ms. Narayan holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Postgraduate Certificate in Financial Administration from the University of the South Pacific.

Ms. Sima Mala
Group Chief Marketing Officer

Ms. Sima Mala is the Group Chief Marketing Officer of FijiCare Insurance Limited, a role she has held since 2023. She leads the Group’s marketing strategy and oversees the motor insurance portfolio, bringing extensive experience and deep industry insight across marketing, claims, and underwriting. With more than 21 years at FijiCare, Ms. Mala has built a distinguished career marked by strong leadership and a thorough understanding of the insurance business. For the past 14 years, she has led the motor function, playing a pivotal role in expanding market share and reinforcing FijiCare’s position as a leading insurer. Her strategic and innovative approach has significantly enhanced brand visibility, strengthened customer engagement, and supported sustained business growth. Prior to her current appointment, Ms. Mala served as Manager – Marketing, where she worked closely with senior management and contributed meaningfully to the development and execution of FijiCare’s strategic direction. Beyond her Group Chief Marketing Officer responsibilities, Ms. Mala serves as the Executive Director of VanCare Insurance Limited, FijiCare’s subsidiary insurer in Vanuatu. Her in-depth expertise in motor insurance — a core line of business for VanCare — positions her well to provide strategic leadership and support the Group’s continued regional expansion. She is also a Director of OmniCare Pte Limited, trading as MIOT Pacific Medical, further contributing to the Group’s growth across multiple sectors.
